Do you have any suggestions for books similar to Catcher in the Rye? Or nonfiction-yish kind of books?

I tend to see The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky as being compared to it. Maybe have a look at some other “coming of age” books? I personally really enjoyed The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. Here’s another interesting list too.
I’m not a big non-fiction reader but I like books by Danny Wallace as well as the odd popular science book (e.g. by Richard Dawkins, and I need to read my copy of A Short History of Nearly Everything).
